This is the first post in our new blog... thanks to Stephen for helping us set this up. :-)
Tomorrow is the big day. We begin our 1100 mile (approx.) horse back ride. I'm a little excited. I'm not riding a horse but I am one of the camp cooks. :-)

The Panhandle Roughriders is a family blog, started on a horse trip from Melville, SK down to Bonners Ferry, ID. From that time in Sept. 2008 it has been continued by three of the Holter sisters off and on, lately being posted on by the second eldest girl. We hope that the blog is a blessing and an encouragement to those who read it.

We try to raise our own food, and most of the family enjoys gardening to some extent. Most of the children love singing and playing instruments and would someday love to be able to use music for the glory of God.
