God of Comfort

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
It's wonderful how God is a God of comfort... and yet we must not lose the real picture. God is a God of comfort and because we as Christians are comforted by Him we need to go out and comfort as many people as we can. Spreading God's love and peace in this world as we live our lives.
This past little bit has been the Easter week/end and so on. We need to remember that the real reason we can celebrate is only because Jesus raised from the Dead! There would be no rejoicing in anyones heart is He had not risen. There's a song that Robin Mark (a praise song writer and singer) sings called No One Like You Lord....

No One Like You Lord
You are the stone that the builders rejected
A rock of refuge where my pride is broken
A sure foundation when the sand is sinking
Where we are built upon like living stones

There is no one else like You
There is no one like You Lord
There is no one else like You
Son of man and Son of God
Son of man and Son of God

When from the cross You to the depths descended
The hosts of hell conspired to make You captive
But every chain of sin and death You've broken
And triumphed over by Your mighty power

I want to run the race You've set before me
Even to share in the suffering of the cross
That I might gain the prize for which You called me
To be with You Son of Man and Son of God
To be with You Son of Man and Son of God

Then from the earth You to the heights ascended
Where You are seated at Your Father's right hand
Forever pleading for the souls You've captured
Forever watching as You call us home

Son of Man and Son of God
Song of Man and Son of God

A strong reminder that God is unfathomable and no one can come close to matching Him. We love and follow a wonderful Savior who will never leave us even in the deepest valleys or the narrowest openings. He is and will always be with us who are Christians! Thank you Lord!!!
